Hai tanhaai bhi mehfil si ...sang tere

(even solitude/lonelines is like a gathering ...with you)

aur mehfil bhi hai tanhaa... bin tere

(and a gathering feels like loneliness .. without you)

 

 

hai bechaaini bhi sukoon si ...sang tere

(even in the uneasiness there is peace .. with you)

aur sukoon bhi hai bechaain ...bin tere

(and peace is akin to uneasiness .. without you)

 

 

hai berang jahaan bhi rangeen sa ..sang tere

(even the bleak world seems colourful .. with you)

har rangeeniyaan bhi hai bechain ...bin tere

(every palette is out of synch .. without you)

है बेरंग जहा भि रंगिनसा, संग तेरे,
 हर रंगिनिया भि है बेरंग, बिन तेरे ।
